Context

The problem

Enquiries arrived through Instagram/Facebook DMs, email, and phone calls, which made quoting manual and inconsistent.

Admin overhead was high, leads could be missed across channels, and response times stretched to 24-48 hours during busy periods.

The client also wanted to run ads that funnel directly into a quoting experience, so the process needed to be reliable and scalable.

To keep costs down and ship faster, I skipped a formal design phase and relied on proven patterns. This delivered a good-enough UI that still positioned the client ahead of local competitors.

Accessibility notes

Implemented labels, keyboard support, and clear error messaging.

Advised against text over hero imagery for accessibility; mitigated with typography, contrast, and sizing where the client preferred the visual direction.

What I would improve next

Run a lightweight design + test cycle with homeowners, landlords, and builders.

Add photo upload to improve quote accuracy and reduce follow-ups.

Add analytics events to measure step drop-off and optimise conversion further.
